Evening on Presque Isle
by Bonnie Tate
I spent last week visiting my friend Barb in her hometown on the shores of Lake Erie. Little Conneaut, Ohio is at the northeast tip of the state, almost on the Pennsylvania state line. On our first evening we drove into Pennsylvania to Presque Isle State Park, which is a small peninsula that juts out into the lake. Looking out at enormous Lake Erie is just like looking out at an ocean.
Barb’s summer stay at Lake Erie is almost over. I know she will miss the simplicity of her beach cottage and quiet mornings hunting for sea glass. I do, after just a few days!
Stay tuned for several more Ohio posts, including photos from a great D-Day reenactment.
